I am one lazy woman when comes to skincare routine. I prefer a no-frill skincare regimen, products that contain as little harmful ingredients as possible and brands that don’t break the bank. Now that I’m coming of age, I've kicked myself into investing a little more time and effort in my skincare routine. Here’s how my current routine looks like: Morning Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam >> Derma-Rx Comedone Formula >> Cremorlab Fresh Water Gel (sometimes) Night Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam >> Bioderma Hydrabio Tonique >> IOPE Bio Essence Intensive Conditioning >> Cremorlab Fresh Water Gel (sometimes) >> Laneige Perfect Renew Firming Eye Cream >> Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (as and when needed) I have combination skin type. My T-zone becomes oily easily and parts of my face is dehydrated. According to my facial therapist, she said my skin tends to get oily on the surface but dehydrated underneath (or is it the other way round?) See? I’m not the role model for a rigorous skincare routine. Wasn’t even paying attention to my facial therapist ;P Now, a closer look at the products I used: Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam I’ve become more mindful of the ingredients that go into my beauty and skincare products. I prefer my facial cleanser to be paraben-free and SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate)-free. Couldn’t find these the ingredient list so assume I’m good to go! :) This cleanser is supposed to contain some Jeju natural goodness known as volcanic scoria that absorbs sebum and clarifies pores. Been quite happy with this. So far so good. I'm on my 2nd tube and I’ve already stock up my 3rd tube in 300ml size! The standard cleansing foam comes in 150ml tube and I got mine from from Althea site which is cheaper than if I get it locally in-store :)
Cremorlab Fresh Water Gel Another item from my Korea beauty haul trip and what I love about this product is its super lightweight gel-like texture. Texture and consistency is very important for me when it comes to moisturizer or hydrator since I stay in a tropical country. With my combination skin, I think what I need is a hydrator rather than a moisturize so this water gel kinda suits me, I guess. Once applied, the gel melts into the skin very quickly. What I like to do is store this in the fridge and this delivers a cooling effect which is nice relief on hot days. It’s also paraben-free, artificial color-free, artificial fragrance-free and mineral oil-free formula. Laneige Perfect Renew Firming Eye Cream This is an anti-aging eye cream that contains ceramide corrective water to replenish dehydrated skin and firm the eye area. It has bio-peptides along with other ingredients to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. I like the lightweight texture which I always look for in an eye cream. I think it does hydrate alright but not too sure about it’s anti-aging properties. I have yet find my perfect eye cream so the search continues. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask Got this in my Korea trip last year as well and oh boy, am I glad. This comes in so handy now since I’ve started wearing liquid lipstick. This is a great way to moisturize your lips to prep and remove dead skin cells before wearing your fave liquid lipstick. Alternatively, it’s also a quick way to moisturize your lips after that. It comes in a small tub (20g) but you only need to apply a layer and a little goes a long way. It also comes with a tiny spatula to scoop out the product rather than using your fingers. So there you have it! The skincare routine of a lazy (almost!) gal and my thoughts on the products. Hope you find this helpful.
Thanks for reading! I would love to hear from you if you have any skincare product recommendations Please comment in the box below. I'm on the hunt for my next eye cream, hydrator/ moisturizer and toner. Thanks in advance!
